Cropping system is generally depending upon irrigation facilities, geographical location and environmental conditions. Sikkim is a complete hilly area. So, agriculture in the hills of Sikkim is completely rainfed and rice is transplanted. The hills of Sikkim are divided into different zones according to the altitude i.e. High hills, mid hills and low hills. Thus, crop rotation is varies accordingly i.e.
