Harvesting

Harvesting:

Maturity day ranges between 90 to 140 days. Leaf turns yellow and falls and the pods become yellowish, harvesting should begin. Black soybean varieties are prone to shattering, hence the harvesting must not be delayed. Harvesting is done by cutting the plants at their base. While at the time of harvesting the moisture in the seed should be 15%.

Yield:
A yield of 20-25 quintals/hectare can be obtained with good management practices.
