Weed Management
Weed Management :
The field should be free from weed to optimize the efficient use of nutrient, sunlight, water and space. Manual weeding is generally followed to keep the weed population below economic threshold level. Bullock driven small blade harrow should be used time to time for loosening the soil and for removal of weeds. The soybean seeds before sowing should be free from weed seeds as far as possible. Mulching the field with dry grasses protects soil borne microbes, at the same time they increase the organic carbon content of the soil and conserve the soil moisture. Precaution needs to be taken so that prescribed dose is used with proper method in the following manner.
