Climatic Requirement
Ginger is tropical plant and requires warm humid climate for its cultivation. The well distributed rain during growing season i.e, from April to October is ideal for its cultivation. This is the reason that crop is grown from 300-1500m above msl in Sikkim, where the temperature remains higher during growing period. It is partially shade loving crop and can be grown in semi-shaded condition.
